SSSTik is a free TikTok Downloader that works in your web browser. Paste the link to a public TikTok video or story, and SSSTik gives you a direct link to the file. When TikTok has a watermark-free version of the video, you get that one. You don’t install an app or create an account, and the same steps work on a phone, tablet, or computer.
What SSSTik can save
SSSTik does two main jobs:
- Video downloader: save TikTok videos as MP4 files, in HD when the original upload has HD quality.
- Stories downloader: save TikTok stories while they are still live on the account, before they expire from the app.
Here is how the watermark works. SSSTik does not edit a TikTok watermark out of a video or crop the logo away. It links you to the watermark-free version of the video that TikTok already hosts, if there is one. Quality also depends on the original upload, so SSSTik cannot make a low-resolution clip look sharper.
How to download a TikTok video in three steps
You copy a link, paste it, and download the file. These steps are the same in most modern browsers.
- Copy the link. Open the video in the TikTok app or on the TikTok website, tap Share, and choose Copy link.
- Paste it into SSSTik. Open the tiktok video downloader, paste the URL into the input field, and press Download.
- Save the file. Pick the download option you want. Your browser saves the MP4 to its download location.
To save a TikTok story, do the same thing with the story’s link. SSSTik usually processes a link in a few seconds. You can download TikTok videos as often as you need, and you don’t have to sign up.
Using the TikTok Downloader on phone, tablet, and desktop
SSSTik is a web-based tool, so you use it in your browser instead of installing software. Where the file ends up depends on your device:
- Desktop or laptop: the video goes to your browser’s default download folder, which is usually Downloads. You can change this folder in your browser settings.
- Android phone or tablet: downloads usually go to the Downloads folder. Most gallery apps show the video there.
- iPhone or iPad: Safari saves files to the Downloads folder in the Files app. To add a video to your photo library, open it in Files, tap Share, and choose Save Video.
SSSTik works the same way across these devices, but we can’t promise it works with every combination of browser and operating system. If a download doesn’t start, try an up-to-date version of your browser.
Why people save TikTok videos
TikTok posts don’t always stay up. Creators delete videos, accounts get suspended or banned, and profiles can go private. Stories also disappear after a short time. People often save TikTok content for reasons like these:
- Offline viewing on a flight, a commute, or a limited mobile data plan
- Creators keeping copies of their own videos so they can edit or repurpose them
- Teachers saving tutorial clips to use in lessons
- Journalists and researchers archiving public posts for reference
- Keeping a personal memory before the original post might be removed
You need to save a video while it is still public. SSSTik cannot get back a video after it has been deleted, made private, or restricted.
Download TikTok videos responsibly
Every video belongs to the person who made it. Use downloads for personal viewing, reference, or your own content. If you want to share someone else’s video somewhere else, ask the creator first and credit them. Don’t use other people’s videos for commercial purposes. SSSTik is an independent tool and is not affiliated with TikTok.
Common questions
Do I need an account to use SSSTik?
No. You don’t need to register, log in, or install anything. Open the site, paste a link, and download.
What format are the downloads?
Videos download as MP4 files when TikTok has that format. They come in HD when the original upload is HD.
Why did my download fail?
Check that you copied the full link and that the video is still public. A video that has been removed, made private, or restricted by its creator usually can’t be downloaded. If the link is correct, try again or use a different browser.
